C4’s Katie Volk, Project Director, is presenting at the National Black Child Development Institute Annual Conference in Dallas, Texas on Sunday, October 14.

Volk and Carmela DeCandia, Psy.D. of Artemis Associates are presenting about “Developing a Neurodevelopmental Ecological Tool: Bridging the Gaps in Community-Based Practice” from 8-10 am. Volk and DeCandia have been leading the development of an online screening tool for children ages 3-5 for use by service providers and parents in low-resource environments. The tool assesses how a child is developing and identifies ways to minimize risk factors and build resilience.
