, Project Amp addresses one of the most challenging issues in health care—preventing alcohol and other drug use among young people. Research shows that delaying and preventing alcohol and other drug use in adolescence can reduce risk of substance use later in life and prevent physical, educational, and developmental risk factors. Project Amp is looking for organizations to pilot test the program. Potential settings include hospitals, health care clinics, schools, and community-based programs. These settings will collaborate with other community partners focused on youth substance use prevention and recovery supports.
