C4 experts presented this week at the 2018 Housing First Partners Conference in Denver, CO.

Our CEO, Jeff Olivet, presented on “Racism and Homelessness: Findings from the SPARC Initiative” on April 10 at 3:00 pm. Jeff shared data from the six-city study and discussed how to create change in communities. C4’s SPARC initiative research has documented the impact of systemic racism on homelessness and shows that no effort to eradicate homelessness can be effective without addressing this intersection.

Ken Kraybill, Director of Training, presented on “Building Your Identity, Skills, and Confidence as a Supervisor” on April 11 at 2:00 pm. He gave an overview of the administrative, evaluative, educative, and supportive functions of supervision and shared how trauma-informed care and motivational interviewing can inform supervision.

The conference is presented by DESC and Pathways Housing First Institute.
